I was too excited to sleep, I couldn't wait for 22nd to finally come. Iya Iyabo, Iya Basira and my very self went to balogun market to shop for things I would need for school, I think Iya Iyabo is more excited than I am about school, given that none of her siblings went to school (I have caught her plenty times watching jenifa).
My biggest excitement is getting to live on my own, have my own pocket money, eat what I like, no pomo to wash or fish to scale....i am going to be a bigz geh..*in jenifa's voice*
Anyway the D-day finally came, I packed all my belongings plus plenty food stuffs(the pecks of being the daughter of an Iya bukka)..
My father drove us there, you would think it's my graduation given that my mother's family sewed Aso-ebi (totally embarrassing and ridiculous)... Iya Basira in all her gold adorned wears, it was laughable to say the least but as the first child to go to the university from both parents side, it was kind of a huge deal so i decided to indulged my family and have fun.
You need to see the cooler of rice and chicken, the pecks of Omo Iya Bukka..
We got to school, my mum was so excited, referring to all the scenes that she watched from Jenifa, whispering to her sister what i don't even know, but i noticed my Dad had a frown on his face, we got to the room, my roommate was there unpacking, i was so excited to see my bunk that i didn't notice anything else happening until i heard my father's angry voice..
"Come here, i say come here, You dont get respect for your house? dem no tish you to greet elders when they enter?
Kilo wo bayi? Se Aso leleyi ?Ema gbami oh!!!!!
Now i felt like entering under the ground....Jesu, Must we start another drama in my school? My father wants to spoil my rep.........
